I survived the Civil Rights Era nearly 55 years ago. I was born in Selma Alabama and raised in Birmingham. I remember the Movement in the South. I was also brought up in Hoodoo by those old wise Folks...Many of them that raised me, were born in the 1920s and 30s and so on. My Granny that had a hand in raising me was born in 1899 to be exact. Granny taught me how to Moonshine and grow sugar Cane, lol. I learned a lot from them ole folks. I still possess Grannies birth certificate matter of fact, I'm looking at it right now...
